TWFU speaker at July 17th rally to "Defend Cuba Against U.S. Imperialism!"

TWFU was proud to endorse this important rally in opposition to the U.S. starvation blockade of Cuba and recent moves to recolonize the island and transform its economy back to capitalist slavery. We defend the Cuban Revolution and call on workers and peasants all over the Americas and beyond to come to its aid, doing everything necessary to get the Cubans petroleum and vital supplies. U.S. imperialism's appetite to subjugate Havana will not be assuaged by the CPC's package of economic reforms, which themselves would liquidate what remains of the planned economy. There is a different way forward: radical egalitarianism, no privileges, full workers democracy and aid from the international proletariat. Countries like Mexico, Brazil and Veneuela should immediately supply Cuba with oil again, defying Trump and strengthening their own hands against U.S. imperialism. China should send boatloads of material aid and skilled workers for the same reason, but also as a fundamental act of proletarian internationalism from another country which overthrew capitalism and thereby developed despite the never-ending hostility of the imperialists.
